De studie ‘Zin in elke dag’ beschrijft de aard en het karakter van het leven en samenleven van adolescenten die wonen in de vrijwillige residentiële jeugdhulp. Als onderzoeksmethode is gebruik gemaakt van participerende observatie. Het perspectief van waaruit het onderzoek plaatsvond is dat van de ritual studies. Onderzocht is hoe in alledaags ritueel handelen zingevingsprocessen onder de jongeren vorm krijgen en welke de rol van pedagogisch medewerkers daarbij is.
This article presents a model for conducting contextual therapy with the aim of contributing to the further development of contextual therapy. Its founder, Ivan Boszormenyi-Nagy, introduced the core of this approach, relational ethics, as a new paradigm for family therapy, which has been received well. The authors presume that the training of (upcoming) contextual therapists and conducting contextual therapy itself can benefit from more concrete guidelines and a phased structure. It can also enhance the further development, research and accountability of this approach.
In this study we examine how suitability for adoptive parenthood is assessed
and displayed in interactions between social workers and prospective adoptive
parents. In particular, we have analyzed relationship questions that are
put to couples with and without an observation from the social worker. The
answers are featured as very precise, stressing the positive aspects of the
relationship but avoiding sainthood, and accompanied with examples that
