BIP Future Skills For Smart Organizations

What does the future of work look like in organizations where data, AI, and digital technology play an increasingly important role? And what skills do students and professionals need to remain effective, human-centered, and responsible in this changing environment?

This international Blended Intensive Program (BIP), worth 3 ECTS credits, brings together lecturers and students from different disciplines to explore how organizations are adapting to a rapidly changing world. At the heart of the program is the interaction between people, organizations, and technology. Students will work across disciplinary boundaries, combining perspectives from HR, Business Administration, IT, and related fields to examine contemporary organizational challenges and develop new insights together.

Themes

Together, we will address themes such as leadership, collaboration, adaptability, sustainable employability, and ethical decision-making, while also considering the role of digital tools and smart systems. The program is designed to connect academic perspectives with real-life organizational challenges and to encourage students to learn from one another across disciplines and cultures.

For Students

Students will work in international and interdisciplinary teams on practice-based cases related to current organizational challenges. HR students may contribute insights into talent development, employee experience, and future-proof careers. Business Administration students may focus on strategy, innovation, processes, and organizational models. IT students may explore how data, AI, cybersecurity, and digital solutions can create value for both organizations and people.

For Professors

For professors, the program offers an opportunity to collaborate with international colleagues, exchange teaching practices, contribute disciplinary expertise, and support students in developing the future skills needed for smart, agile, inclusive, and responsible organizations.

Together with your students, you will explore the opportunities and risks of smart organizations, strengthen intercultural and interdisciplinary collaboration, and reflect on the role of higher education in preparing professionals for the future of work.

This BIP is designed for professors and students from Human Resource Management, Business Administration, IT, and related study programs. The program is especially suitable for students who are interested in the future of work, digital transformation, organizational change, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Participants should have sufficient proficiency in English, a level of at least B2 (CEFR) is required, to actively participate in lectures, workshops, group discussions, and international teamwork.

The virtual component of the BIP will take place on April 7, 2026. During this online meeting, we will look ahead to the programme for the in-person week, and students and lecturers will get to know one another. Furthermore, students will immediately begin working in international teams on an initial joint assignment. There will also be time for a substantive introduction, in the form of a lecture, to the BIP’s central theme.

For students, the program offers the opportunity to:

• develop future skills such as adaptability, collaboration, digital awareness, ethical reasoning, and intercultural communication
• reflect on their role as future professionals

For professors, the program offers the opportunity to:

• collaborate with international colleagues
• exchange teaching practices and disciplinary perspectives
• contribute to workshops, cases, or coaching sessions
• build future partnerships for education or applied research
