CROSS CULTURAL THEORY AND MODELS - 9:00AM
After we've seen something about the varieties of Europe, we will try to analyse the cultural differences by using a model from Trompenaars and Hofstede. After describing the different models, we will explain the cultural variety of some European countries.
The first attachment contains a variety of internet based texts, regarding cross cultural management with an emphasis on the theories and models of Geert Hofstede and Fons Trompenaars. Please read the texts. In class we will discuss the texts and apply them to our culture (personal, business and national). Use them as window of opportunity and as mirror. The second attachment is more practical. We will see some implications of culture on HRM policy and other.
